My family and I went here for dinner the last night of our stay. Almost every night of our 10 day stay at the Holiday Inn, there was live music playing at this restaurant, it was awesome and lots of fun! It is a beautiful and fun atmosphere. Located on the bay, there is a pretty view and it is nicely decorated. There is an indoor area and bar as well. We sat outside near the water. I ordered the New England Clam Chowder soup first. It was good but very very thick so if you like more of a soup-y texture, you may not like it. We also ordered cheese fries which were delicious! The cheese pizza was fine but nothing special. I ordered the Coconut Shrimp appetizer as my dinner, they were perfect! Later on we ordered room service and ordered Chicken Quesadillas and a piece of key lime pie. For only those two things it was $18 which I thought was kind of expensive. However, the quesadillas were the best I've ever had!! The key lime pie was also good but could have used a little whipped cream. Overall I would definitely recommend this place!

One star is too many for this place - what an awful experience! From start to finish this was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. Read on if you care for a few of the the details. First, we called to make a reservation and asked for outdoor seating on the water. However, we arrived to find the entire patio reserved for a private party. After being seated indoors with no view whatsoever, the host brought us a single, warped and peeling kids menu for our two kids. After taking forever to send us a waitress, we asked for something for kids to color. Then they brought us two full size, beautifully designed kids menus for coloring - WTF? Why wouldn't they bring us that in the first place??? Finally we placed our order and the kids meals came out quickly, which was great, but the adult meals took FOREVER! We ordered the "famous" all you can eat grouper and the order took so long that we never even got to eat another helping. And the portions were incredibly small to start - so we left hungry just to get out of the place. On top of that, when the server brought our orders he dumped an entire plate on my Mother's lap! What is it with these guys???

My absolute favorite restaurant. I love the atmosphere- right on the water, outdoor eating with cute lights. Sometimes a band plays. They have a killer selection of exotic drinks, and an awesomely broad dinner menu. Great seafood dishes! Decorations- adorable. Tip: don't miss out on the beautiful photo-op by the large palm tree. I have dozens of photos with the sunsetting behind me. The photos almost look fake. Take it all in while you're there. Wonderful place.

This is one of my favorite Key West style seafood restaurants in the area. It's very laid back and the food is outstanding. On weekends they usually have a Jimmy Buffet style or Reggae band playing in the huge outdoor deck area. They have a total of 3 outdoor bars if you count the one by the pool which might be for hotel guests only but I don't think they care. This is a great hotel/resort located right on the water. Great scenery and the price is always right. Check it out if you're in the area!

I have been coming here for many years. I have never had a bad experience. Love the Key Lime Martini & the view of the bay is gorgeous. The band's are always rockin' & the bartenders are always slingin' drinks! The food is good, I always stick with the fish sandwich and you can never go wrong with the raw oysters. What's not to like!!! Cheers.....Kimberly Parker (Atlanta)

I have to say that Jimmy Guana's was a big let down, I'd read one of those free magazines you see around restaurants and shops advertising local establishments. There was a full page add for Jimmy's listing nightly specials. Wednesday nights showed a one and a half pound lobster dinner special so we decided to go there for that particular special. When our server arrived, she told us that they hadn't had that special in months. What a let down. The magazine was supposed to be good thru March. Since we were there we decided to stay for dinner. Dad liked the grouper sandwich and Mom had a nice piece of salmon. Service was not great. The restaurant is connected to a Holiday Inn, so it serves a lot of the hotel's guests. It might be ok for them but we don't plan on going back.

Ate here twice while staying at holiday Inn. Would highly recommend. Service was always great. The free coconut bread you can ask for and it is excellent. The Reuben Grouper is a must! Very kid friendly and great kids menu. Grouper sandwich is also excellent. Also ask for free tickets to play miniature golf in the lobby. Prices are slightly overpriced but for a hotel not bad, plus the food has always been great. Would recommend checking this place out.

I was excited when I first saw this place because it looked like so much fun. However, looks can be deceiving and they definitely were. After ten minutes of sitting there with no service, I decided to check out the reviews. The consensus was that the food was even worse than the service. So after twenty minutes of sitting there with exactly zero service, I got up and went to P.J.'s. It's really ashame that they can't get it together because the view is spectacular.

The pool side bar is a nice spot to spend some time. Drinks were good and bartenders will make you something different if you don't like one of the house cocktails. Prices seem reasonable for what you get and there are a number of locals who come here so it is not just tourists. They usually have live music in the evenings.

Stayed at the Holiday Inn while on vacation, and thought we would give it a try this place is beautiful! Right on water, big and lots to see. Live music was great! I expected great food to come out and what I got was frozen seafood!!! Ordered the calamari- looked great but tasted like frozen fried with no season at all!! Kids got chicken fingers and a burger which also taste frozen and the burger no joke tasted just like a frozen bubba burger you get from the store. Also got the Mango Mai Mai, this I thought for sure would be good but again the fresh was rubbery, over cooked tasted frozen, the baked potato tasted to be old. When it came time to pay, i have my server a $100 bill she brings me back change for a $50! Not cool at all! In all honesty the only thing this place is good for is drinks. I'm very disappointed in it ! I should have saved the money and walked over to Crabby Bills!

We have been twice, once for drinks only and once for dinner. Great atmosphere and layout. Bryan at the bar was awesome. Good variety of beer and liquor...meaning thwy had IPA so I was happy. Appetizers were great...especially the grouper bites. Downside is the band and all other activities are over at 10. After that it is just a quiet bar on the water. Too bad because the band was fun and had people up dancing. They have a nive pool area and putt putt golf on the inside wakway. All closed. Otherwise we had a great time. It is a 2 minute walk to the beach and the rooms at the attached Holiday Inn were nice and very big. Overall we had a great weekend.

Fun bar with great service. Spent every night there while traveling for work and the bar tender Julia made us all feel right at home. She was not only friendly and fast, but she even was on a first name basis with all us by day 2.. Anytime I am near Largo I will be heading in.

Very over cooked fish rubbery I would not eat here if you are on the road --- they have a great atmosphere but don't know how to cook fish had the snapper ugh The soup was good seafood gumbo was the hit of the night

Save your money! Food was mediocre at best and service was atrocious . There are lots of better choices on Indian rocks beach, so unless all you want is a drink and to be on the water stay away.

A friend of mine and I stopped in here on Easter Sunday with his small dog that was leashed. They rudely turned us away saying that they don't allow pets. Come on people, it's an outdoor space and many of the places around there are very pet friendly. Our money went with us over to The Pub where they welcome pets.

Your average beach bar in Florida. Connected to the Holiday Inn, a patio deck bar and restaurant. I did not eat the food so I can't say too much. I did take a gander at the menu- your usual conch fritters, grilled shrimp, etc etc. I however did order the "speciality drinks". Typical island drinks ranging from 7 to 9 bucks. Nothing special. The ambience is great, especially out on a huge deck. They had a stage set up for bands later in the evening. I'm sure this place is great on a Thursday night in the middle of summer. But I guess I don't fit the clientele criteria.

We came here for memorial weekend this year and it was utter disaster. Being that we were such a large party, 15 to be exact, we told the waitress from the very beginning to split the check as they took our orders. They decided that it would be much easier to do it afterwards. The food came very quick, which concerned us a bit die to how large our party was and seeing that there were others there before us, nevertheless we were happy. The taste of the food was mediocre. Since we were by the beach we expected the seafood to be excellent but were quickly disillusioned. The stuffed shrimp had a strange taste per one of our party members. Also we had seen great reviews on the Gumbo only to get it and be disgusting. At the end when we were ready for our checks and instructed them on what belonged on who's check, they got all our checks wrong not once or twice but 3 times!!!! It took longer to get the whole fiasco fixed than the time it took for us to get our food and eat it. There were 2 waitresses trying to fix it and none could get it right. Had it been done from the beginning this would not have happened. At no point did the manager ever stop by our table to apologize or offer anything for our inconvenience. When the waitress brought us or final corrected checks I asked her if her manager was at all concerned about what had occurred and she said that she had been helping them trying to get it fixed. She asked if I wanted to speak to her at which I responded no. I explained that if she was not interested or concerned enough to come and apologize or speak to us about what had occurred, then I had no interest in speaking with her. The waitress apologized for her manager and stated that the reason was that she was new. The manager watched us leave and never said a word to us. Stay as far away from this place as possible. There are so many others gems in the area that are more invested in your satisfaction.

My God stay away. Stay away for your children, stay away for yourselves. Stay away from the Friday night fish fry. FOOD POISONING. My wife and I joined some friends here for their Friday grouper special....it has become apparent these special fish fries are to push fish that is turning so they don't waste product. What a mistake we made. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the poisoning was right on time...6 hours later we were taking turns for the toilet. Hmmmm...exactly six hours prior my wife and I ate "fresh" fish at Jimmy Guanas. Coincidence...? There is no excuse in 2011 for restaurants to be sickening people - there are way too many regs to follow. Of note, the grouper was horrible. If what I ate was grouper....my name is Sam Q.

It was a hit or miss for us. I ordered medium well hamburgers and got well done. Our table mates, who joined us 15mins later, ordered hamburgers as well and their order was perfect. The very next day we were back for a table of 20, there were no orders sent back and staff was on the ball. Be sure to get the coconut bread (we think its cake), it's tasty. It's in a great location, on the water, in the inter-coastal waterway. They have 2 restaurants, indoor and outdoor with live music. A large swimming pool with a tiki bar. For sure next time, we will stay the night.

Love this place for lunch or Dinner. Been here a tonne of times, always enjoyed it. The views from the deck are great, watch the boats go by whilst chowing down on some great food. If I go for lunch I always have the Quesadillas, although it's a starter it's great for one person and they never fail to fill you up! The live music is good but can sometimes be annoying, especially if your sat right next to it, the only reason it doesn't get a 5*.

I was very surprised for a restaurant attached to a Holiday inn. The decor was very fun and inviting which works for date night & family night. The food was far from gourmet but tasted very decent. However, the Mango Margarita was a must and so were the coconut cakes. Even though it was a slow night the staff was extremely professional and courteous. We will definitely be going back there soon. #Naturally_KidnKat

Great Service, Great Bar Tender (Julia) the drinks were made perfectly, live music on the deck over looking the water. We had calamari ( some of the best I've had in awhile) a few more drinks top shelf of course, a cup of seafood gumbo let me say I am extra picky when it comes to gumbo being from Louisiana this wasn't bad dark rue with a little dirty rice I'd do it again needs a little Tabasco to make it righteous tried the pizza (don't bother) but the chicken sandwich jerk style was excellent. We really like this place second time around we were here about a year ago I'd say if you don't want to leave the hotel there is no need to leave to eat or have cocktails I found the prices inline so it's all good come and enjoy we will be back for sure.

The location is great for a relaxing evening. Drink specials are great & the staff is really attentive without being in your face. As for food, the breakfast is the only fare I'd recommend here. We tried several lunch/dinner menu options (avocado burger, quesadillas, pizza, artichoke dip) and it was all under-impressive. So take my advice and enjoy happy hour and amble over to PJ's or Crabby Bills for food.

Didn't eat any food here, but enjoyed the hell out of my tropical frozen drinks! Big and plenty strong after a long ass day on the beach. I did see a sign that they server breakfast starting at 7 AM, and had I been staying at the hotel, I would have taken full advantage. Service was prompt and friendly, thanks Jess!

After a day out on the boat, a group of friends and I decided to stop for a light lunch at Jimmy Guana's. We docked our boat and walked through the hotel area over to the restaurant. There seemed to be a lot of families enjoying the pool and tiki bar area, so I had high hopes for a nice meal. I decided to get the sauteed shrimp appetizer as my meal. It came in a garlic cream sauce, very similar to alfredo, and with garlic bread on the side. There weren't many shrimp for the price and I couldn't eat the bread due to dietary restrictions. If I had to guess, I'd say there way have been 4-5 normal sized shrimp for $10. Slightly disappointing! Granted, it was an appetizer but on a normal occasion I would have shared it and expected more than two pieces each. My boyfriend did eat the bread and sopped up the rest of the sauce; he seemed to like it. Our waitress was very friendly and made sure our drinks were refilled regularly. My only other complaint is that for a bunch of appetizers, it took a pretty long time to get our food. There were only two other couples in the restaurant at the time, too. In the end, we paid too much for not enough food. But under the circumstances, you don't have many options for restaurants to dock at and it could have been worse.

I love this place!!! It's a year round awesome spot! Food is good at the vibe is great they even have a public nice pool with a tiki bar that kids can play in. In their building a water park out front of the hotel as well which will be done by the summer!!! They always have a live band on the weekends, sitting on the large deck outside in the sun, and watching the beautiful view of the intercoastal while you eat, and look at the boats Docked at the marina. It's definitely a hidden gem for locals and for tourist. It's very very kid friendly but still an adult friendly fun atmosphere. And you can't forget about the cocktails they are always amazing!

As others are writing, the atmosphere is great. I'm surprised this has as high a rating as it does. Probably because many are only drinking. The service was extremely slow on a pretty empty early evening week night. (5:30). Food was mediocre at best. Several people in our party feels it was all microwaved. And to have $$ for the menu price is deceiving. Most everyone in our party thought it was way too pricey. We are quasi-local and will find another place next time. Ps. Waitress was very pleasant.

Not impressed. We came for football on Sunday. The layout wasn't great for watching the game. Our server was very kind but just not good at her job. Hovered a lot, didn't understand the menu and overall gave our whole table a bad vibe. The food was below average. The value was low. We won't be back.

My husband, 4 year old son and I stayed at the Holiday Inn because we were in the area to see a Spring Training game. We arrived late in the afternoon on a Fri. and decided to have dinner in the hotel as we've never been to that area before and decided it would be the quickest thing. It was great weather so we decided to sit out on the deck area which was quite large. They had a live band and a bar outside as well. When we went out, we asked the bartender if it was okay to sit anywhere and she said yes~someone would be right with us. We sat by the water which had a nice view. It was the only empty table by the water. We sat there for a good 15-20 minutes~there were plenty of waitresses that kept walking by to service other tables but nobody bothered to ask us if we'd been helped yet. It's like we were invisible! Mind you, we were ready to eat as we'd just had a 4 hour car ride! Finally, my husband got up and asked the girl at the podium if we could get some menus. She basically came over and threw menus and utensils on the table, said nothing and walked away. We sat there for another 15-20 minutes and still nobody came to our table! I had had enough when a new party just got seated behind us and they got service right away! I was about to get up and go complain when my husband flagged down a passing waitress and asked if anybody was going to take our order. She came over right away but did not apologize or introduce herself~just made some excuse of how they were switching shifts. That does not make up for over the half an hour we were sitting there!! However, after that the food and drinks came right away and she was good with our son. That was seriously the WORST service I have EVER experienced! The food was good and they had a decent menu. The food runners seemed very inexperienced also on how to serve food~they seemed quite timid. Everybody working there seemed pretty young so maybe that had something to do with it. The next night, we got back a bit late from the baseball game so we decided to give the restaurant another try. This time we decided to eat inside. It was pretty empty but filled up before we left. The service was much quicker and again the waitress was very good with our son. We let the front desk know of our experience before we checked out. The girl said the manager wasn't in but she would let him know as they like to receive feedback. Would've given a better score but the lack of service we received on our first night there really left a bad taste in our mouth.

It's in a great location, on the water, in the inter-coastal waterway. They have 2 restaurants, indoor and outdoor with live music. A large swimming pool with a tiki bar. For sure next time, we will stay the night.

Meh. Atmosphere is nice (by the intracoastal waterway), but the food is reminiscent of an Applebee's.

Jimmy's is great for a good drink, great ambience and just being able to relax. It's not insane busy like most places on the island. Stacy was a great server! Definitely would come back and ask to sit in her section.

Over 20 minutes to get someone to come to our table. 15 minutes more to receive drinks, over an hour to get food. Total dinner time was over two hours with no apologies from waitress or manager. Food was poor in taste and quality.

Not impressed. We came for football on Sunday. The layout wasn't great for watching the game. Our server was very kind but just not good at her job. Hovered a lot, didn't understand the menu and overall gave our whole table a bad vibe. The food was below average. The value was low. We won't be back.

This is a very nice pool bar and restaurant at IRB. the food was way better than expected, and its a great place to watch the boats cruising down the waterway. The pool is nice and crowded every weekend. You can come by car or boat.
